Mussoorie is universally known as the sovereign of Hills, due to the stunning tourist attractions present at 34 kms from Dehradun.
The city is located at an elevation of 2003 meters in the Garhwal hills, over sea-level. It is one of the tourist attractions in India. It offers admirable reprieve to the tourist who crave for liberation from the hot sultry conditions of the plains. However, it is sufficiently close to Dehradun which allow travelers and natives to enjoy without any tension. Also, chief Hindu pilgrimage places like Kedarnath, Haridwar, Rishikesh, Badrinath, Gangotri, Yamunotri are not far from this best hill station.
Gun Hill- take pleasurable Ropeway journey which is the second farthest peak of Mussoorie. It can also be assisted by bridles path which forks-off from Mall Road near Kutchery and to reach it takes about twenty minutes from there. The Ropeway farness is only 400 meters. And the sheer thrill of the ride is legendary.
Municipal Garden- This is a beautiful small garden with some rides for kids to enjoy as well. The garden gets good sunlight in winters and is a good place to spend 2-3 hours. Even there are many varieties of plant species.
Childer's Lodge- The Highest mountain of Mussoorie near Lal Tibba. It is about 5 kms from the traveler Office and one can go on horse or on foot.
Nag Devta Temple- An antique temple located in Cart Mackenjie Road and is about 6 kms from Mussoorie.

How to reach
Delhi International Airport is the nearest and National Airport is Jolly Grant Airport which is only 24 kms out from Dehradun. The nearby Airport to Mussoorie is 60 kms away from this location.
As such Mussoorie does not have a fluent rail links. Dehradun Railway station works for Mussoorie too. This station is linked with fast trains to other main cities in country.
