Pahalgam is a small hill station located in the Indian state of Jammu & Kashmir. Many consider it as Mini Switzerland because of the scenic beauty and lush greenery it holds.
Sited on the banks of the Lidder river, Pahalgam witnesses a lot of tourists during its tourism season in summers. Because of the hilly terrain, the climate is best suited in summers where temperatures go as high as 20 degrees Celsius and as low as 5 degrees Celsius. Pahalgam was made immortal among Indians when the Bollywood blockbuster movie Betaab was shot over here starring Sunny Deol and Amrita Singh as debutants. After the movie was shot, the place became one of the top honeymoon destinationsof India. From a tourist point of view Pahalgam has very much to offer to its visitors.
Pony Rides: Pahalgam offers pony rides to its top locations like Kashmir Valley, Dabian, Baisaran which is exactly the location for which the locals say “Mini Switzerland”.
Betaab Valley: The location got its name from the movie Betaab which was filmed o popular bollywood actor and actress.
Snow view: there are hotels and resorts from where you can experience awesome snow view.
Aru valley- known for terrace farming, beautiful greenary all around and small lake for admiring landscape.
Mamleshwara temple- worship to god in this historical temple and get blessings for lifetime, a must visit place in pahalgam.

How to Reach
By railway-This popular honeymoon place in India can be reached from railways as well as air. By railways it can be reached via Jammu. It is an 8 hour journey from Jammu to Pahalgam.
By air-By air it can be reached via Srinagar. After getting down at Srinagar airport, you can take the shared taxi service to Pahalgam which is almost a two and a half hour journey from the airport.
By road- from Srinagar you can take a taxi or bus to visit pahalgam in 1 or 2 hours maximum.
